Jeannes 3-acre garden was certified organic in 2010 through OPAM after she enrolled in the Manitoba Organic Transition Program (MOTP). The plots are now home to some of her infamous favourites like rainbow carrots (five colours!), banana fingerling potatoes, various winter squashes (grown for Tall Grass Prairie Bakery) and heirloom tomatoes. Over half of the seeds she plants have been saved from varieties she has come to know and trust and the rest she purchases are non-GMO and untreated.

Adagio Acres is a small family farm of 80 acres located in the Interlake region of Manitoba. Crops are grown using natural land management techniques instead of chemical inputs. Placing a high value on natural biodiversity, and maintaining a natural habitat for wildlife interspersed with the fields. No chemicals are used in the farming practices or in any of the food processing, in order to bring you great food that is as natural as possible.

While traveling in Peru, Percy was introduced to the local quinoa production techniques. He began to wonder “can quinoa be grown in Canada?” – the answer, after 5 years of hard work; a qualified yes! Franz & Erna believe in a balanced ecosystem relying on healthy soil, they grow a camelina crop and press it into a healthy cooking oil, they also grow some fruit and flax. Franz and Erna moved their family from Austria to Manitoba and love to share their knowledge on natural farming practises and permaculture.
